I wish I'd chosen a different transport option now, but it's going to have to be the bus from Manhattan...

This will be my 1st NY marathon 2015. Which part of the city do you suggest staying Also getting to the race is it Ok to take private transportation or the one offered by the race Do you stay close to the start or finish.
