Comments: Thank you so much for putting this website together for the NYC Marathon! Your record of marathons is amazing! I’m a late bloomer - I didn’t start running until I was 45. Now 9 years later, I’ve run 20 half marathons and 2 full. The NYC Marathon was on my bucket list and I’m so excited that I get to run in it this year and also visit NYC for the first time! I want to get the full experience. I can’t afford the hotels, so I’m staying at Airbnb in Harlem, so won’t be able to walk back after the race, so hopefully can catch taxi or Uber. I’m a little worried about navigating to the start on my own, but hopefully from the race website or your website I can figure it out. I hope I’ll get the opportunity to meet you! I’m not a fast runner, but steady. I just can’t wait for this amazing NYC marathon and visiting NYC! Best of luck to all runners! Happy Training!

Comments: More “runs” in my pantyhose than races I have done! But this slow novice tortoise is gonna give it a go this November 5, 2017. As if 26.2 miles isn’t intimidating enough, add NYC to the mix! What have I done, what was I thinking play over and over in my mind!!! So a site like yours with a wealth of information reassures and scares the hell out of me at the same time! Congratulations on your impressive running history and best wishes for this year as well!

Comments: Thanks for providing this information. I grew up in NY and this is on my bucket list. My very first marathon. A little scared but you are helping make it easier. I'm never really been athletic but as I celebrated my Golden year I wanted to set some goals and for it. Can't believe it will be here so soon. Hope to see you on the course.

Comments: Thanks for acknowledging my comment. I do have one question. I know you recommend people staying near the end of the finish line but we needed something that costs much less. We have booked a nice B and B in Union City New Jersey right close to the subway which will take us across the river in the Lincoln tunnel. I was planning on taking the bus to the start but another runner said I would be better to take the ferry. What do you think? (We had no problem using the subway system to get us to the buses in Boston and it was quite a distance)
Admin reply: I like the ferry more than the bus. But I really don't know what's the best from your location. Have you thought about taking the but from New Jersey (Meadowlands)?
