I just registered for my 1st NYC (and 1st ever) marathon this morning...i went in the lottery in 2011-2013.
I am sure I will be revisiting your site many times over the next 7 1/2 months.

Thank you - excellent information, I have registered to run through the guaranteed entry system. Finally 3 "nos" in the lottery and year 4 yippi.

The tip I am hoping for is the best places to stay, my family and I are planning the trip.

Admin reply: Shamala: My best tip is to stay in walking distance of the finishing line. There are hundreds of good hotels in that area, so just check online and find a price that suits you :)

I can't thank you enough for all the "insiders" information. This is my first marathon and I am so fortunate to be running NYC. My husband and I have gone in many times to cheer on the runners and now I'll be one of those runners.
