Comments: Thank you so much for this website. For your advise and other tips in NYC Marathon. This is my first time to run NYC Marathon and I was lucky to have won the raffle for the guaranteed slot. I hope I can make it to the cut-off time if ever there is a cut-off time as I do not clearly understand what "6:30h after the last corral" means.
Also, I already signed up for the bus in mid-Manhattan does that mean I will be late in the starting line? How early should I be in the bus line?
Thanks so much and will check your website from time to time.
Admin reply: 6:30h after start of wave 4 means that the sweep bus starts after wave 4 and drive at a pace that will bring it to the finish in 6:30h. You are allowed to continue after the sweep bus, but the streets open for traffic. You are fine if you meet for the bus 5 minutes before departure time.

Comments: Your information about the NYC Marathon is great. Concise and all helpful. I like your advice about what to do while waiting to start before the corrals. That's stuff you would not think about. This is my first NYC Marathon. I did the NYC half in March and the cold really got to me before starting so any advice on how to stay warm and dry before starting is invaluable. My first attempt at a marathon was in February this year in Miami and I got caught up in the excitement and did the Zig Zag thing to pass people and I ended up with an IT Band injury and had to stop after 15 miles. Your very right in advising to resist the temptation to do that. I'll look out for you in November.
