Radar Norsk

The radar detects how precipitation moves by sending out radar beams. The radar receives an echo when the beams hit precipitation. The animation shows precipitation the last hours. The last picture is almost real time (it takes about 15 minutes to process the pictures). The map shows precipitation (rain, sleet, snow) and is updated each 5 minutes The colors give an indication on how strong the precipitation is. Red is the strongest, light green is very light.

The radar comes from, delivered by Norwegian Meteorological Institute and NRK.
